Selection Modes / Types - Point, Edge, Face, Body


Selection Modes ****can be changed by pressing the 1,2,3,4 and 5 keys or ICON CLICK the pictured in the top left of the viewport. 1 - Point mode 2 - Edge ****mode 3 - Face ****mode 4 - Body mode (Includes Sheets) 5 - All ****modes

Convert Selections - Change Selection into different Types / Modes


You can convert a set of selections between different modes by pressing CTRL+1-4 keys. ~~Ctrl+1 - Convert to points~~ (Not Currently Implemented) Ctrl+2 - Convert to edges Ctrl+3 - Convert to Faces Ctrl+4 - Convert to Body

Selection by Direction - Select elements either by dragging over the entire object or only a small part


From the LEFT SIDE + CLICK AND DRAG, the entire object must be selected. From the RIGHT SIDE + CLICK AND DRAG any object touched is selected.

Loop, “Ring” / Boundary and Chain Select - Select a Loop On or All the Corners of a Solid Body


Chain Select Edges: ALT Hover near Edges to see Preview, then LEFT CLICK an Edge of that group.

Boundary Select Edges: CTRL+ALT Hover near Edges to see Preview, then LEFT CLICK an Edge of that group.

Chain Select Faces: ALT and Hover Over Faces to see Preview, then LEFT CLICK.

Note: ALT Select can be used to select Fillet Chains. Because this is distinct from polygons the behavior may not always be as expected as there isn’t technically a loop/ring.

Note: Video is Outdated, previously ALT selected a loop.
